I've been playing around with journal CSS for the past few days. This is based off of
's original design that you can find
here.Once I figure out how to add the extra special textboxes and whatnot, I'll upload it for folks to download as they wish. I told her I'd give her credit for the initial concept, and I want to know what you guys think. Obviously it needs a bit of work, but if you can spot anything in particular, just comment back!

Welcome to my corner of deviantART.
It's a great creative site where artists can get together and build on their own talents. Even though I've been here for nearly five years, a lot of times I feel like I'm just beginning to know the site.
I am a Junior Interactive Media student at Bradley University.
My primary focus is on Conceptual Artwork, both based on existing games/etc and new ideas in my head. Most of my Conceptual Art focuses on ideas for the MMORPG City of Heroes.
I can also do book illustration, typographical design, and general graphic design as well.
I have worked as an intern at a local newspaper in the area, designing ads, and also designed logos for a Martial Arts studio.

My eyes immediately go to the white text of the 'News' section as opposed to the black text of the actual content of the journal. If I hadn't read the preview blurb on the message area I probably wouldn't have noticed. ...it also doesn't really help that I'm seeing a black bar next to the 'News' area which also draws attention to it more than the rest of it. I'm not exactly sure which color you could go for. Maybe you could switch the text colors around? (Unless, of course, you wanted that originally, in which case you can ignore me.)
Other than that, I like it. It's cool that it isn't just a solid color and hell, I'm jealous. I just have my lil default journal of doom. ;D
